Beware If Your Church Rejects These 5 Truths...

The Apostle Paul warned Timothy “evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:13

If it was true in Paul’s day it certainly is now. Paul also said…“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come.” 2 Timothy 3:1 NKJV

It is my firm belief we have entered the last days.

We are further forward than many in the Body of Christ even realise. I am reminded of the parable of the wise and foolish virgins. May GOD be gracious and help us keep our lamps burning bright, full of oil. May He preserve us from the deception Satan loves to cleverly weave inside the Church.

However, there is one thing we can do to ensure we are not deceived whether Jesus returns tonight, in ten years or a thousand years.

We can love the truth.

We can plant the Word of GOD which Jesus said “is truth” (John 17: 17) in our hearts so it grows and bears good fruit in us. His Word will guard and sanctify us for what is coming.

However, congregations which refuse to embrace the truths which follow will be vulnerable to the deception Satan brings so subtly. And that is how our Satan works… subtly, quietly, in the shadows without people noticing.

I love the King James Version of the Bible. It is interesting to note what is says of one of Satan's characteristics…“Now the serpent was more subtle than any other beast of the field.” Genesis 3: 1 KJV.

The New King James Version says “cunning” instead of subtle which reveals more of Satan’s character. Therefore we can see he strategises and plans very carefully. He uses cunning, stealth and SUBTLETY to achieve his objectives.

One of the Devil's classic ploys is to get Churches to subtly change the key Biblical doctrines of faith.

That is how he is working in many Churches today to get them away from the Biblical truths I present below. If your Church does not believe and adhere to them, then I warn you now… deception is sure to follow.

Should your Church reject them Satan will have achieved his aim, by blindsiding another congregation just when they should be using the weapons of their warfare in GOD to demolish his strongholds and set the captives free as the Gospel of Jesus is preached.

Here then are the five truths. Are they loved by your Church?

I hope so… if not I am concerned for your safety because of what is coming.

  • 1. The centrality of the Cross and Blood of Jesus Christ

If there is no power in you or your leaders preaching or no one gets saved, it is probably because you are not preaching the same gospel preached by Paul and the Apostles.

The hallmark of this Gospel is…

    a) Declaring belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the only means of salvation through repentance and public declaration of personal faith in Jesus. b) What Paul determined above all else was to preach Christ crucified ONLY. Though it seems almost too simple or even foolish, this type of preaching is actually the only POWER we need to get the job done.

Preach the Cross and all else is taken care of. “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18 (NKJV)c) Emphasis on the BLOOD of Jesus Christ to cleanse from all sin (1 John 1:8,8) and as an imperative requirement to overcome Satan. (Revelation 12:10,11)

The LIFE is in the Blood says Leviticus (Leviticus 17:11 )… how much more the LIFE IN THE BLOOD of GOD’s ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to deliver us from sin, Satan and the world? No wonder Satan tries to stop preaching about the Blood of Jesus… because it is so POWERFUL against his kingdom of darkness!
  • 2. The person, gifts and work of the real Holy Spirit

The Apostle Paul describes the Holy Spirit thus…“But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.” (Romans 8: 9,10 NKJV)

So we see the Holy Spirit described thus in two sentences from the scripture above…The Spirit of God. The Spirit of Christ.

The description I want you to write on your heart though is…The Spirit of CHRIST.

If there is one thing you can do to inoculate yourself from being deceived as to who the Holy Spirit really is, it is found in that key verse.

The Holy Spirit of God—is the Spirit of Christ.

Therefore He will ACT just as if Jesus were here on earth.

If you want to know how the Holy Spirit will act in any given situation, read the Gospels again and again and SEE HOW JESUS DEALT WITH REAL EVERYDAY FOLKS LIKE YOU AND I.

Then you will have a picture of how the Holy Spirit is likely to act in your life.

    Plus importantly…

Whenever you see things in conferences or meetings being described as ‘manifestations’ of the Holy Spirit you should immediately apply this simple test… Do these manifestations ACT LIKE JESUS WOULD, IF HE WERE HERE IN THE FLESH?

By simply applying this one test you will save yourself from being led astray by all sorts of “spiritual nonsense” now seen in sadly so many churches and described as “the moving of the Holy Spirit.” It is extremely dangerous to attribute every single supernatural manifestation in meetings as the Spirit of God.

Yet so many people do just that.

For babes in Christ, this is akin to leaders sending new believers, lemming like as “lambs to the slaughter.” I have been in meetings where (supposedly) normal believers are literally barking like dogs, having lost all sense of self control (which of course is a fruit of the Spirit!). This while people with no discernment (including the leaders of the meetings themselves) ascribe such behaviour as being the Holy Spirit.

Proclaiming such activities as expressions of the Holy Spirit are completely contradictory to scripture and bordering on blasphemous.

Ask yourself—would Jesus ever allow Himself to become completely out of control like this, cackling or howling like a wild animal or barking like a dog? Is that how the Gospels show what the Holy Son of God is like? Do you think therefore that is how the “Spirit of Christ” would really act? He is not called Holy for nothing.

So to wrap this section up…

The work of the Holy Spirit should be acknowledged and He should be partnered with because it is He ALONE who produces the signs and wonders which should follow the preaching of the Word. He also being the Spirit of Truth will lead you into all truth, which will consistently reveal the character of Jesus in everything He does.

    So remember…

If you don’t see Jesus when something is attributed to the Holy Spirit. It’s likely not Him.

  • 3. God’s eternal love for the Jews, and the central place Israel have in God’s plan of redemption.

    This is a biggie.

I also believe it is perhaps the biggest gateway for all sorts of deception being introduced into countless congregations, especially in here in the West.

Let me set the record straight… Jesus is (right now) the King of the Jews.

He is (right now) the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

God’s Name is inextricably linked with the Jews FOREVER.

If not He would have to change His name which is (right now)…The GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Yes this same GOD is the Father of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ). And Jesus will ALWAYS be the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

Hence GOD’s covenant with the Jews is ETERNAL.“And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.” (Genesis 17:17 NKJV)GOD says it is an EVERLASTING covenant.

And look at what Paul says…

“For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved.” (Romans 11: 25,26 NKJV)

And why has GOD written the name of every tribe of Israel upon the twelve gates which enter the new Jerusalem (Revelation 21:12), if He has annulled His promises to them?

Here is a stern warning to every Church which wishes to turn against Israel.

    It is not by me.

It is by Almighty GOD…“I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3 NKJV)

Don’t discount this last scripture as being only applied to Abrahams day. He includes us here and now thousands of years later by saying “in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”Don’t curse Israel… because terrifyingly… GOD Himself will curse you!

    And finally here’s a thought…

If GOD has broken His eternal promise to the Jews, then put yourself in their shoes. How would you feel if you served a GOD who made an ETERNAL covenant with you… then went and broke it?

If you believe that GOD has done that and switched all His promises formerly made to Israel and the Jews to the Church only, then He is a GOD who BREAKS His promises. If that were the case, then think on this with all severity… what is to stop Him breaking His NEW COVENANT WITH YOU? If He breaks one covenant, why should He not break another?

    Sober thought?

    You bet it is.

Either we serve a GOD who keeps His promises or He does not.

If He does not, then He is not trustworthy because His actions would prove He is untrustworthy.I for one, am eternally grateful that the LORD GOD Almighty, who named Himself the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, will never break His promises to them, nor me either in Jesus.
  • 4. The ministry of healing and deliverance.

Can a Christian have a demon?

    You bet they can.

If you don’t believe Christians can suffer at the hands of evil spirits please read or listen to Chapter 9 of my book (download it here for free) which details a first hand account of deliverance from a very powerful demon in Church. (Many people actually saw the demon with their own eyes).

Also read the excellent book by Graham and Shirley Powell called “Christian Set Yourself Free.” It was the first book on deliverance for Christians I ever read back in 1985, and it changed my thinking on the subject 180°. Prior to that I DID NOT BELIEVE Christians could be oppressed and held in bondage by demons.

Once I read that book, it was as if a huge light went on and I knew the truth… they CAN.

I won’t speak any more on deliverance ministry just now, but as we close this section let me ask you a question. If a large portion of Jesus’ ministry was casting demons out of people and He said the scripture below to believers which includes you and I…“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons…” Mark 16:17 (NKJV)

    Do you believe Him?

Especially when Jesus also said…“But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.” Luke 11:20 (NKJV).

If we are truly disciples of Jesus Christ seeking to bring the kingdom of God to people, and we refuse to cast out demons which are binding people in the kingdom of darkness, then is it any wonder the kingdom of GOD is not demonstrated in the everyday lives of normal people and the Church is seen as irrelevant and weak?

If GOD is invisible, remember, your enemy is too, and just as real.

You need to learn to defeat Satan and his demonic forces in the invisible realm, by using the sword of the Word of GOD, not in your strength, nor for your glory, but in the power of the resurrection life of Jesus Christ and for His glory alone.
  • 5. The End Times

As we look around with events unfolding so fast in the Middle East, “Big Brother” technology, nano-technology and not only the cloning of human beings but also DNA splicing to produce “Human Beings 2.0” which are part human and part animal (already happening folks, see – Forbidden Gates by Tom Horn… it will blow your mind) social and political upheavals, and worldwide wars, we should really entitle this section “the NOW times.”

The key signal that we have entered the final phase of world history was demonstrated when GOD led the Jews back to the land He promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as an eternal inheritance.

He did this when He restored them as the nation of Israel in 1948.

Jesus said that when we see Israel back in their land as a nation (in His parable of the fig tree, Israel = the fig tree) then the end is near. Literally “at the doors!” Their restoration is the gateway sign to the beginning of the end if you like…

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!” Matthew 24: 32,35 (NKJV)

He reinforced this statement by saying…

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” Matthew 24: 35 (NKJV)

The restoration of Israel as a nation was a supernatural demonstration of the highest order from the heart of the covenant keeping GOD we love as covered in one of my previous points above.

However one of the main hallmarks of the end times especially reflects what we started this article with today… deception.

Listen to how Paul describes the end times…

“Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 (NKJV)

We are warned a “falling away” will take place and to make sure no one deceives us.

Jesus warns us to be especially vigilant and alert because these end times would come upon us very quickly like a terrible trap if we are not prepared…“For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:35 (NKJV)

In this day when Christians are being crucified for leaving Islam and becoming Christians (Twitter Post About Christian crucifixions 2014 …More info on Christian crucifixions 2014) if anyone thinks persecution will not reach them, then scriptures make it clear, terrible times are coming whether or not the Church likes it.

The question is… are you ready?

Space forbids me from digging any further into Eschatology here, but that is the case with all our points above. They are the briefest brush stroke to make you aware. You must do the homework and prepare accordingly by prayer, studying the scriptures and seeking the truth for yourself and your loved ones.

So to conclude…

Please use the five points above as a checklist to see whether your Church acknowledges their truths.

If they do not then seek GOD in prayer for what He desires you to do about it. He may have you speak to the leadership about points raised. He may have you move to a different Church because He knows they will refuse to listen.

Whatever He says do it, for your safety!

Please share these truths with others so they can be prepared for what is coming too.
