Hi blessed of the Most High GOD!
Once more we careen towards the closing edge of another big week.
And so.
To make sure we take the final corner together wisely without leaping the barrier.
Let’s consider,
That in every undertaking…
Always start (and continue) from a foundation of strength.
Take this week for example.
How did you kick it off?
Specifically,
How did you think?
Did you begin Monday with a thankful heart pondering the good things the LORD would surprise you with? A heart of faith no matter what through each day?
Or.
Weakly…
Did your Monday begin weakly? Filled with anxious trepidation?
If fearful, then perhaps Friday arrived as it seemed to promise you… and just as you believed it would arrive.
Because…
Your end is your beginning.
Thus a week ends weakly.
IF…
You start weakly.
And continue timidly.
It stands to reason, you could well end up weakly. Or put another way, small in strength.
Too harsh?
Okay.
There’s more.
This is what the LORD says…
“If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.”
Proverbs 24:10 ESV
That said…
I don’t believe your strength is small overcomer.
Yet what I believe is irrelevant.
For what counts is what the LORD says after we are tested as we all will be.
So in finishing,
Can we increase strength so when adversity comes we give a good account of ourselves?
Definitely.
Start from a solid foundation. A position of strength.
Maintain it. And then never surrender it.
Here are a couple of truths to help you do that.
First…
“As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”
Psalm 103:12 KJV
What a foundation eh!
Every CASE AGAINST YOU IS DISMISSED overcomer :)
Every single one… gone forever.
Praise GOD.
So never let your emotions be moved away from this place of grace.
This eternal truth.
Here’s another rock solid foundation…
“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.”
2 Corinthians 10:4 ESV
You have all the weapons you need saint.
Imagine!
You even have DIVINE POWER TO DESTROY.
Here’s an example,
Of that very scripture being used in everyday life…
For one day four years ago on the same floor as mine I spotted a wicked office.
At first though I thought it was a beautiful office.
Why?
Because it had a lovely picture on their door which I passed each morning to get coffee.
I used to admire it and think…
“What a lovely tree with a picture of a… _ _ _ _ b _ _ behind it.”
That is until one day I looked more closely at the painting and name of the organisation.
And I realised what this office really stood for.
It was then scriptures from Leviticus and Romans flashed into my mind.
Thus I saw a nest of vipers was actually behind the ‘good works’ this group purportedly strived to offer.
For what they described as ‘good’…
Leviticus says plain and simple…
Is an abomination.
So what to do?
What Jesus did.
He cursed the tree and it withered away the next day. (Mark 11: 20-22).
And so…
That day I copied Him.
I cursed this enterprise which called evil good and good evil in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.
Out loud, in front of the door.
And.
Well would you believe it!
Within weeks it simply withered away.
Died on the vine. Collapsed.
Crumbled to nothing.
BLAM!
And it was swept away.
Funding gone.
Staff gone.
Utterly removed from the suite of offices along the hall from where my office used to be.
Praise GOD.
Why?
CONFIDENCE saint.
Acting confidently on GOD’s immoveable foundation of strength.
His WORD of holiness.
In particular,
The strong foundation of this particular word which I’ve discovered,
Always just works…
“So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
Isaiah 55:11 ESV
So to finish warrior of GOD,
Rule in the midst of your enemies…
“The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!”
Psalm 110:2 NKJV
Be confident. For confidence is faith :)
Start good.
Stay good.
End good.
Just like this…
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 15:58 NKJV
For remember,
Your end already is your beginning when you start like this.*
Bless you.
Dave.
*Your end is your beginning. Start as you wish to finish.
This is a biggie saint if you see it.
