Just be quietly effective
Thank you, Dave, for sharing.
Have you any tips on how to pray for our enemies effectively? 🙏
Thanks Orla.
The biggest breakthrough I have had personally is… to say “Thank you” the Lord for anyone that’s really got it in for you.
Then I start praying for them until…
1) All my own anger towards them washes away ;)
2) Then I actually start to (strangely) start caring for them…
3) After a while (can take weeks sometimes months)… you suddenly notice big softening and changes in their attitudes and behaviour etc.
Eg: One chap did all he could to get me sacked…
But after praying as above…
The LORD changed his heart and he ended up being a great friend of the family… and saved us financially once when I got us in a pickle!
Imagine if I’d fought him back… tooth for tooth etc with a bitter heart.
The Lord taught me loads through that experience.
Saying “thanks” is the key.
And then Jesus does the rest :)
Bless you sister!
That's amazing, Dave... it's so unnatural. 😅
Doing the opposite seems to do the trick.
Satan loves for us to hate our enemies, so there is war.. but Jesus tells us to love them.
This is not the first time I heard saying thank you is the key & I have tried it and it works in all situations.
However, I'd really like if you could expand more on why you think "Thank You" is the key.. like, from God's perspective.
Blessings!
